Golf Conditioning

The Golf Swing is Rotation

Rotation is the essential part of the golf swing.  When swinging a golf club the body rotates through almost every joint in the body.  If there is restriction anywhere  in the shoulder girdle, pelvic hip complex, or torso then the swing is at risk of developing poor mechanics and/or injury.

Eliminate Poor Biomechanics

Better Accuracy
Improve Strength
Improve Endurance

Hello Fellow Golf Enthusiast,

My name is Daryl Conant.  I am the instructor of the Conant Golf Conditioning System.  I have been playing golf all of my life and am always looking for new ways to increase distance on the drive, have better accuracy into and on the green.  My constant inquiries of the biomechanics of the golf swing prompted me to develop an exercise program that specifically targets the needs of the golf swing.

It is every golfers dream to play better golf. Those that seek professional help can make better improvements with  swing mechanics, however, the golf pro seldom addresses the need to condition the body.

Most injuries that occur in golf are directly related to faulty physical  conditioning which inadvertently result in faulty swing mechanics. If you condition the body to function properly then the swing will have fewer faults.

Muscles work in synergistic patterns.  If these patterns are firing incorrectly the result is lack of movement through a full range or injury. Many golfers overcompensate for physical weaknesses and develop negative swing patterns that often times has them reaching for the Advil during or after a round of golf. If you're having to result to taking pain relievers to play golf something is severely wrong with your physical condition.

It has been my observation that if the body is fully conditioned in all three planes of human motion that more strength, endurance and better flexibility is possible.  I know for a fact that my Golf Conditioning System works because I have seen my drives go from 285 on average to 310+ on average.  Golf is viewed as a sedentary sport. However, if analyzing the forces that are generated in the spine during rotation, golf, is a highly rigorous sport.  Thirty to forty high impact spinal rotations can do as much damage to the discs as a single blow to the back as a tackle in football game.  The golfer is an athlete and must train as an athlete and adhere to scientifically designed programs that are integrated and synchronizes all the systems of the body.

Conant's Golf Conditioning System
My training system is based on scientific principles and protocols that incorporate the use of the whole body.  I use a functional approach to exercise that works synergistically with body patterns to help improve the body as a whole.   The body is controlled by the brain. The brain controls the body by assigning  synergistic synchronized nerve  patterns to muscles to produce a movement.  By improving the synergistic patterns through all planes of movement (sagital, frontal, transverse) the golfer is able to extend their ability to their fullest while at the same time benefiting from improved biomechanics and physical condition.
