The Key to Fitness is Discipline!
by Daryl Conant, M.Ed

People who fail a fitness program lack the ability to master discipline.  Americans are instant gratification oriented.  The quality of the human body in America is increasingly declining.  Medications, processed foods, and drugs have become the staple of the American diet.  I am bothered by the excuses people give about not being able to stay fit.  The bottom line to staying fit is having the ability to stay disciplined to a diet and exercise plan.  No one wants to take inventory of themselves anymore and keep track of their own progress.  These types of people are the ones that are constantly searching for the easy way out.  They often resort to surgical procedures, medications, drugs, and/or unrealistic diet scams.  If you eat garbage, you will feel and look like garbage.  What you eat is a direct relationship of how you look.  Staying disciplined to an exercise plan doesn't have to consume your entire life.  Exercising 20-30 minutes every other day is all you need.  The important thing to remember is that consistency will help you stay disciplined to your program.

What you eat today will show in three days.  Make no mistake though...you CAN do it!
